Full-Stack Developer

About the Role

Paramint is a Brooklyn-based software consultancy that builds internal tools, custom platforms, and AI-driven solutions for enterprise clients like Constellation Brands, Burger King, and ResFrac. We're looking for a contract full-stack developer to join our engineering team and ship production software for our clients. You'll be embedded directly in client teams — scoping requirements, building features, and owning delivery end-to-end. You'll have real ownership over architecture decisions and direct access to the people using what you build.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship internal tools, dashboards, and custom applications for enterprise clients using Retool, Next.js, React, and Node.js
• Work directly with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Design and implement database schemas, APIs, and integrations against PostgreSQL, REST, and third-party services
• Own features from technical scoping through deployment, including writing documentation that lets the client's team maintain what you've built
• Collaborate with Paramint's design and engineering leads on architecture decisions and code review
• Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and improve existing client systems beyond the original scope

Required Experience

• 4+ years of professional experience building web applications with React and Node.js (or equivalent backend)
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases — you can write non-trivial queries and design schemas without an ORM doing all the thinking
• Track record of working directly with non-technical stakeholders or end users, not just taking tickets from a project manager
• Experience building or extending applications on Retool, Superblocks, or similar low-code/internal tool platforms
• Comfortable working in a consultancy model: managing your own time across engagements, communicating proactively, and context-switching between client environments
• Solid understanding of deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure basics (AWS, Vercel, Cloudflare Workers), and CI/CD

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python, particularly for data pipelines, scripting, or AI/ML integration work
• Familiarity with AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and building LLM-powered features into production applications
• Prior work at a consultancy, agency, or as an independent contractor serving multiple clients
• Experience with enterprise environments — SSO integrations, role-based access control, audit logging, and the general overhead that comes with shipping software inside large organizations
